THOMAS H. MOORE, age 93,
of Cincinnati, and formerly of New Bremen, died on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 12:06 P.M. at his residence. He was born on October 12, 1932, in Fulton Missouri, the son of the late Marvin P. and Ruth (Herndon) Moore. On August 4, 1956, he married Barbara Harmony at St. Paul Church in New Bremen, and they shared 69 wonderful years together side by side. Barbara survives in Cincinnati. Also surviving are his children: James Elliott Moore of Los Angeles, CA, Nancy Lee (Edward) Zwiep of Hodgenville, KY, and Elizabeth Anne Moore (David Wiser) of Columbia, SC; as well as his seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Tom was a was a graduate of Fulton (Missouri) High School and then spent a year attending Westminster College before transferring to the United States Naval Academy where he went on to graduate in 1955. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1961. He had been a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen and later at Anderson Hills Christian Church where he was an active member and he greatly enjoyed playing on the church's "Yesterday's Kids" softball team for a number of years - especially those years when they were league champions. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV, and was an avid golfer, even shooting a hole-in-one at the California Golf Course in Cincinnati. He and Barb loved to spend time with their family, and cherished the time they spent together. They also enjoyed their old card club in New Bremen and the various houseboating trips taken to the Cumberland River with their friends. Tom had worked as a Plant Superintendent for the former STAMCO in New Bremen, and in 1977 moved to Cincinnati to take a similar job at R.A. Jones, a packaging machinery manufacturer. When that business was sold to an international buyer, he went back to college at Mt. Saint Joseph in Cincinnati where he became certified as a respiratory therapist. He then worked for Christ Hospital in Cincinnati for a number of years before his retirement in 1996. Tom will be remembered for his kind and youthful spirit, his contagious laugh, and as a man who just enjoyed life.
