STACIE M. (ANASTASIA) STEINEMAN, 60,

of New Bremen, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 10:17 p.m. at the Otterbein Senior Lifestyles Community in St. Marys, surrounded by her family, after a long period of declining health. Stacie was born on May 22,1965, in Dayton, daughter of the late Lawrence R. “Larry” and Ann E. (Koenig) Baker. On February 13, 1992, she married John E. Steineman, who preceded her in death on November 9, 2019. Stacie is survived by four daughters Mary Steineman of St. Louis, MO, Sara Steineman (Jordan Swartz) of Van Wert, Katherine (Nathan) Steed of Clarksville, TN, and Laura Steineman of New Bremen; one grandson, Arthur Steed and another grandchild on the way. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings: Christine (Duane) Statzer of Zelienople, PA., L. Richard “Rick” (Dawn) Baker of Greenville; her stepmother Judy (Woehrmyer) Heitkamp-Baker of Minster; her in-laws Gene and Betty Steineman of Clearwater, FL, Deb and Keith Burkholter of Lewis Center, Wayne and Donna Steineman of New Bremen, and Dave Steineman of New Bremen, along with numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents and husband, Stacie was preceded in death by an infant grandson Nathan Lee Steed, an infant brother, L. Nicholas Baker, her father and mother in-law Norbert and Betty Steineman, in-laws Kathleen Gossard, Kris Ranley, Dave Gossard, Colletta Dial, and Lois Hein.

Stacie was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in New Bremen where she was a CCD teacher and served on parish council. She was a mentor for Big Brothers/Big Sisters for many years and an avid biker and flower gardener who loved to read, take her girls on learning experiences to historic locations, museums, zoos, swimming, and many family vacations to Panama City Beach Florida, Michigan, to the east and west coast. Stacie was a graduate of Lehman Catholic High School in Sidney and earned a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Bowling Green State University. She taught Special Education at several schools including Marion Local, New Knoxville, Holy Rosary, and Urbana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 9:30 A.M. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 120 S. Eastmoor Dr. in New Bremen with interment to follow in the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen. Friends and family may call on Saturday, December 6, 2025 one hour prior to the Mass from 8:30 – 9:30 A.M. at the Church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions in memory of Stacie be made to the Holy Redeemer Youth/CCD Program (120 S. Eastmoor Drive, New Bremen, OH 45869).
