Karen J. Fox

KAREN J. FOX, age 58,

Of Celina, and formerly of New Bremen, passed away at the Mercer Co. Community Hospital on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. She was born on October 3, 1967, and loved by her parents, the late Nathan H. and C. Jeanine (Sheely) Hirschfeld. Karen is survived by her husband, Ousseni Salambere of Celina; her beloved children, Alec Fox and Courtney Fox, both of Sidney, Ohio; her cherished granddaughter, Myliyah Davis; and her brother Neil Hirschfeld of Michigan.

Karen was a graduate of New Bremen High School and was a longtime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen.

Karen will be remembered for her kind and generous heart, always putting the needs of others before her own. She found great joy in music and treasured the special memories she shared during girls' days with her daughter. Karen's warm sense of humor, and compassionate spirit touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen with Rev. David Voll officiating. Inurnment follow in the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
