Ardythe A. Fark

Ardythe A. Fark, age 85,

Of Celina and formerly of New Bremen, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1940 in Ada, OH. She was the daughter of Melvin N. and Bernice I. (Whitacre) LaViness, who preceded her in death. On January 8, 1961 she married Wayne G. Fark and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2003. Surviving Ardy are her sons; Kevin and Kelli Fark of Celina, Bruce and Tracy Fark of St. Marys and Tony and Beth (dec.) Fark of Wapakoneta, her ten Grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and her sister Karen and Kevin McMonigle of Miamisburg, OH. Preceding her in death was her son Robert N. Fark and her sister and brother-in-law Cheryl and Earl Fischer and her infant brother William LaViness.

Ardythe had attended the St. Peter’s Church in New Bremen. A graduate of Ada High School, she went on to pursue a career in cosmetology. She owned and ran Ardy’s Beauty Shop in New Bremen and later retired after 23 years at Crown Equipment Corp. in New Bremen. Ardythe had a passion for collecting bears, enjoyed playing cards, and spent many weekends ballroom dancing with Wayne and fellow members of the Timmerman Dance Club, dancing to both big band tunes and contemporary music. Ardy cherished the times spent with her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen with Pastor Leslie Krieg officiating. Interment will follow in German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 24, from 2:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, and then again one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
